NZACS Peter Jowett and Industry Awards Dinner

Acknowledging the Industry's High Achievers

An afternoon of outstanding presentations by young industry professionals was capped by an evening of awards and humour at the recent NZACS Awards event held at The Heritage Hotel.

The finalists of the Peter Jowett Industry awards were:

  • Timothy Fulton (Mobil Oil)
  • Jeremy Clarke (Chevron)
  • Mandy Chan (Red Bull)
  • Matthew Topp (Nestle)
  • Priyang Patel (Imperial Tobacco)

Members of NZACS cast their votes and declared Jeremy Clarke (Chevron) the winner of the Retailer award and Matthew Topp (Nestle) the winner of the Supplier award. Congratulations to you both and all the best in representing New Zealand at the Global Convenience Industry Achievement Awards in Atlanta in October.
The industry awards were presented in the evening and the winners are as follows:

  • Best Direct Supplier: Coca-Cola
  • Best Indirect Supplier: Imperial Tobacco
  • Best Foodservice Chilled Supplier: Mrs Macs Pies
  • Most Improved Indirect Supplier: Nestle
  • Most Improved Direct Supplier: British American Tobacco 
  • 2010 Convenience Head Office Award – Best Overall Direct Supplier: Frucor Beverages 
  • 2010 Convenience Head Office Award – Best Overall Indirect Supplier: Red Bull 
  • Best New Product Launch Winner for 2009: Coca-Cola Limited Edition Summer Cans 440ml 
  • Best Retailer for Store Compliance: BP

These events provide a great opportunity for networking, sharing information and recognising companies and individuals within the convenience industry. Our next event will be the Convenience Leaders Summit held in November. Details will be provided in the near future.
