Speaker Profiles

Jeff Rogut – Chief Executive Officer of AACS – Convenience 2030

Jeff Rogut is an experienced retailer with over 30 years’ hands on experience in the retail industry from retailer, supplier and education perspectives.

His career to date has provided him with management and leadership opportunities and the consequent exposure to a great number of companies across the retail and supply industries both locally and overseas has allowed him to identify those areas which do add value and are able to be successfully developed for business success.
Jeff’s experience is in retail marketing, buying, negotiating, merchandising and leadership. He has worked as a Franchisee, Franchisor as well as in the corporate sector with companies such as Shell Australia, Target, 7-Eleven Australia, Campbell’s Cash & Carry, Mitre 10 and FoodWorks.

He is a regular spokesperson in the media both locally and overseas on issues affecting retail and particularly the convenience industry.

Jeff was previously the Executive Director of The Australian Centre for Retail Studies at Monash University and since the beginning of 2011 has been the Chief Executive Officer at the Australasian Association of Convenience Stores.

Mitesh Khatri – Shopper Tracker – The voice of the customer

Mitesh is experienced in understanding the shopper, retailing and category, working with retailers and suppliers across Australia and New Zealand.

He leads the New Zealand Shopper Tracker business striving to improve the shop experience in New Zealand grocery, oils and traditional liquor. Mitesh works closely with clients to help them drive shopper led commercial strategies by targeting shopper needs and motivations, through a consistent objective language to build more efficient joint business plans. In New Zealand, Shopper Tracker is working with BP in Oils and Foodstuffs in Grocery.

Janet Wilson – Deadline Ltd – Managing your company’s public image

Janet Wilson has more than thirty years’ experience in news and current affairs as a reporter, presenter and producer in print, radio and television.
In the last several years Janet has run her own media advice company, Deadline Ltd.
Deadline Ltd provides strategic media planning, media training, crisis communications management and ongoing media advice for a variety of New Zealand corporate and private sector interests.

 

 

 

Bruce Cotterill – Keynote speaker – Leadership & Management

Bruce Cotterill describes his career as a 'vertical learning curve'. He is a 'transformation leader' with extensive experience across a range of industries, including real estate, media, financial services, technology and retail, and a variety of ownership models, including both public company and private equity.

He is now a professional director and advisor, and is a highly regarded business communicator, assisting organisations to maximise their performance and profitability. He is one of Australasia’s leading conference keynote speakers and a wonderful storyteller who adds humour and inspiration to his presentations
