NZACS

Our Peter Jowett Retailer winner Tiffany Wilks from BP had an amazing time attending the NACS Show and part of the AACS Study Tour held in Atlanta earlier this month. Read further about Tiffany’s highlights….

On Friday 10th October the retailers attending the AACS Study Tour went to Coca-Cola's Shopper Experience Innovation Center. Tiffany explains, “At the study lab they study the trends of shoppers, how they respond to floor layouts, counter layouts, graphics and more. It is set up like a stage so they can tailor it to trial any set up and planogram for any company and it is all recorded, it was truly amazing with so very much to learn from them.” Further convenience insights were shared at the lunch with the Coca-Cola Executives.

In the evening they were treated to a night out with Schweppes who had hired out a minor league ball park for everyone to have a play kitting them out in baseball shirts and hats to look the part!

Saturday was the day of the competition called “Bright Ideas From Around the World” where Tiffany felt although she didn’t come away with a prize she was still a winner on the day with her presentation being a tremendous improvement from Auckland and enjoyed the positive feedback she received from the audience. Tiffany expresses her gratitude as follows, “It created some fantastic networking. It truly gave me a lot personally and professionally so again thank you!”

The NACS show provided a plethora of stands and samples giving Tiffany much food for thought about what can be brought back to New Zealand. To close the event Hillary Clinton spoke about the government close down, convenience retailing and the days leading up to the assassination of Bin Laden. Tiffany stated that this amazing speech was worth it in itself.

We are very proud of you Tiffany and pleased that you enjoyed the trip. We hope to see you compete again next year!

Thank you to Tiffany for sharing her story and photos.
